Abby has had one hard life for one so young. Born in a cage at a hoarder's house, she was luckily rescued by the nice people at the shelter. She was at the shelter for a long time waiting for a family to adopt her, but no one came for a scared young girl. Luckily for Abby, CAWS took her into our adoptions program and she is now safely in a foster home where she is learning that people aren't so bad after all. She now sleeping with her foster mom and is a great office assistant and gladly helps out while you are on the computer. Abby is blossoming into a charming young lady who is well on her way into becoming a lap cat. She is excellent with other cats and would do well with older children that could take it slow with her. Addy can be outgoing, very playful and has exuberance for life that is unmatched! He loves to play and is absolutely fearless! There is not a feather toy in existence that can take him! You can see by his expression that he is curious and you can see his intelligence in his breath taking blue eyes! His long, sleek body just adds to his mystique! But he has a mellow side to him as well, and you will find him cuddled up next to you when you least expect it. He would do well with another kitty, or could be adopted by himself.

Amber is a beautiful blue patch tabby. She is the first kitty to greet her foster mom in the morning, and is a huge help around the office. She makes sure that all your computer work is done properly, with of course many breaks for petting. She is shy around strangers and will need someone patient to give her the time to settle in her new home, but if you give her a chance, you will see this beauty blossom into a loving companion. Amelia really did experience a Christmas miracle. Left by her family when they moved, she was found on Christmas Eve by the son of one of our foster homes. So instead of spending Christmas alone, hungry and cold, Amelia got the greatest Christmas gift of all. And boy is she grateful to be back in a home. She adores people and is the ultimate lap cat. She is learning to get along with the other cats, but would be perfectly content by herself.

Amelia Jane is a small love. She is a 3 year old Chihuahua mix that is looking for a patient and calm home. She has some incontinence issues and is on medication for it. Potty pads are a must at this point for her. Amelia Jane is very afraid to go to the bathroom in front of people, and potty pads placed in corners seem to help her a lot. She gets along very well with other dogs. She would do best in an adult home. Amelia Jane loves toys and playing tug of war. She also LOVES blankets and knows how to tuck herself in. Amelia Jane has her own bed and goes right to it at night tucking herself in. She loves to cuddle and give kisses with her tiny tongue.

Amigo is a gorgeous, declawed, black & white boy. Amigo wants to be your friend. When you look into his big round eyes he looks into your soul. He's very quiet with a 'meow' that never reaches the decibels of other cats. He likes to be close, but not necessarily on top of his human. When petted, sometimes he will pet back with his velvety paws. He pretends to scratch but is declawed so he looks like he's playing a drum on the ottoman. When he wants attention he will follow you around and wait for you to sit down so he can sit on your lap. Amigo is a peaceful cat who doesn't make trouble and doesn't make a lot of noise. There's a brief time of adjustment in a new house; usually only one day when he will growl at other cats. Once he passes that phase he will never growl at them again, no matter how they might try to provoke him. He is a sweet patient cat who asks nothing of his humans but to love him.

Anna is all lady! This stunningly beautiful cat found herself a stray at the shelter with her 6 young babies! Luckily, she was able to get into a foster home to raise her boys, and now that she has done her job she is looking forward to some peace and quiet! 6 young crazy boys is enough to drive any mother insane! How Anna kept her sanity and sweet disposition, we will never know. But she is a gentle sweet cat, who has enough spit and fire to keep her boys in line when needed. She loves quality time on your lap, but still enjoys a good romp with the cat nip now and again. Anna is just a darling of a cat who is looking to be spoiled and pampered for the rest of her days!

Belle is a sweet, gentle girl who loves to have her belly rubbed. When she is getting petted and scratched, she loves it so much that she just rolls and purrs and does muffins like no other. She loves attention, but she is not overly needy and will take attention when she can get it. Belle spent 5 months at the shelter before she came to CAWS. She is a charming girl who was over looked time and time again because of the color of her fur. Belle needs someone to see the beautiful girl that she is inside. She is great with other cats.

Betty B is such a unique and gorgeous cat! She was rescued from the shelter where she had given birth to eleven kittens! Despite her hard work, only two survived. Betty B loves to sit with you on the couch and loves to supervise you in the kitchen, but never tried to get into your food! She just wants to make sure that you are preparing the food properly is all. She gets little playful bursts and loves to chase twist ties. She does well with cats and dogs as long they respect her space. She shows a bit of spunk & sass now and again and would probably do best in a home without small children. Biggs has the cutest quarter tail that you have ever seen. It is so short and fluffy at the same time. He is a total attention hog and adores being petted. He is very vocal and loves to tell you all about his day. He does OK with other cats, but would also be content on his own.
