He's very quiet with a 'meow' that never reaches the decibels of other cats. He likes to be close, but not necessarily on top of his human. When petted, sometimes he will pet back with his velvety paws. He pretends to scratch but is declawed so he looks like he's playing a drum on the ottoman. details[12] = "Bones is looking for her best friend! Bones is a very quiet, sweet cat who likes to spend her days sleeping or in your lap. She likes to coo hello at you when you come by her and is not shy when asking to be fed. When she wants attention, she'll come sit in your lap or rub her face on you and purr. Otherwise, she is very quiet and keeps to herself.  Her favorite activity is to be petted. She needs a little time to get to know someone and will be shy at first, but once she gets to know you she considers you her best friend. She loves catnip, but doesn't have much energy for playing most of the time. When she does get energetic she loves to play hide and seek.  For a long time she wouldn't get along with other animals, but now that she's doing better she is showing more of an interest in getting to know them. We always thought she didn't like other animals but it seems to have only been because she was feeling sick. She must have considered them a threat to her in her weakened state. She still likes to be alone a lot, but she has her moments when she wants to go stare at the other cat at try to figure him out. He is still trying to figure her out too, so there's a lot of staring contests between them. Bones was very skinny when she was found and we assumed she was starved but even after we had her for a while she hardly gained any weight. It turned out that she had an overactive thyroid which caused her to be very skinny and have blood pressure and heart problems, but now that the thyroid has been treated she has been making a great recovery. She's gaining weight; she's off her water pill and will hopefully soon be off of her blood pressure pill. Her vet said she is doing great and she'll almost make a complete recovery with no need for medications. She'll probably just need regular check ups.";

She is initially demure, sweet and a little shy, but once she realizes you want to be her friend she warms up and shows off some of her more playful side.  Yuki loves to carry bread ties in her mouth.  If she notices you are without one of your own, she will jump up on your lap and drop one in it, anxiously wanting to share her toys and let you indulge in the fun.  She also enjoys catnip, and will roll and purr all over the carpet in sheer bliss.  When she is done chasing a laser pointer around the house, she will hop into your bed and lull you to sleep with her tender purr.  Yuki has been with her brother since they were born, and she sure does love him. details[17] = "He loves to learn and is a quick learner. He knows basic commands such as sit, lay down, shake, and is learning to stay. He still needs a lot of training, so needs a family that has the time and ability to put him through training. He loves going for walks and does pretty well on a leash, until he see something he wants and he pulls. He needs to learn some manners when approaching a new person and other animals.  Since Bunker is still a puppy, he still has endless puppy energy, so he should be placed with an active family or with a family that has an active dog. He is great with dogs, but if he is placed with another dog, he should be placed with another active larger sized dog, because sometimes he is unaware of his own strength. He shows no aggression towards cats, but tends to want to play with cats every once in a while as well.  Bunker loves to chew on ropes and other doggie toys, but still has a hard time distinguishing what he can and cannot chew on, so he should be crated when left alone, but since he does have a lot of energy, he should not be left for long periods of time. He needs to have his metal crates zip tied, because he knows how to bend the metal and escape from his crate.  Sweet Bunker loves kids and chases my two year old around the house constantly. My toddler is still learning his manners around other animals, but tolerant Bunker responds to the toddler violence by giving kisses. He absolutely loves water and will even try to hop in the bath while my son is bathing. He is very affectionate and will make a great, loving, loyal addition to a family.";

I do enjoy chasing and catching those cat tease wand toys.  They're awesome!  Of course, from my photo, you can see I'm very beautiful.  I don't like dogs, those noisy, drooly, clumsy goofballs.  Most other cats are beneath me, but I do tolerate some cats.  I get along best with kitties that stand up for themselves.  If another cat runs or cowers, then I have fun mercilessly teasing them.  One kitty learned that if he just stands his ground, I'll back right down and be good.  He's no fun anymore!<br>I'm very much a people kitty, really.  Even though I'm a little Princess, (and if I don't like something, I'll complain about what a hard life I have), but I'm a good girl and don't struggle or scratch or bite.  It's just that I can be very vocal in disagreement at times.  My foster mom actually thinks it's cute when I complain!  There's just no respect for royalty around here.<br>I'm still waiting for my forever family to come take me home, and lavish me with the attention I deserve. When we rescued this precious girl from the shelter she had 3 growths on top of her head. We had them removed while she was under getting spayed. Right now with all the stitches across the top of her little head she looks like Frankensteins bride. When the stitches come out and her hair grows back she will look like the Princess bride. She is beautiful even with stitches all across the top of her head. Clara is a happy, confident little gal who just exudes utter love and affection. She gets excited and grabs toys, tossing them to and fro making them squeak. She is house and crate trained. Gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home, big and small, young and old. She seldom barks. Just chimes in when the others bark, or when you get home and she is excited to get out of her crate to get loves and go potty. She likes to sleep with her foster mom and other furry siblings but she is content to sleep in a dog bed or crate with the door open as well. She goes in and out of the open crate on her own. He knows how to use a doggy door and can be trusted in the house when his foster family is away during the day.  Jake walks very nicely on a leash and is also great offleash when hiking on trails, always coming back when you call to him.  He loves to snuggle and when it's time for a nap, he sleeps right next to his foster mom.  He's good with dogs and we'd recommend he live with other dogs his size or larger because he's a very energetic and persistent player!  Jake is a very, very active dog who gets excited about everything and thinks life is a party!  He will need lots of activity and other dogs to play with.  He thinks there are two speeds in life: off and full blast! He doesn't live with cats so it is unknown how he would do with them; however his foster mom thinks he would be nice to them as he is sweet with everyone he meets. He would be best in a house with older children as he likes to play and is a large boy.  He is very submissive to people and wants to please.  He is food and praise motivated.  He takes treats very gently from your hand and shows no food aggression.  Did we mention he loves to play?!  He knows the difference between toys and not toys and is always ready for an impromptu game of tug-o-war with his two large foster brother dogs.  Jake would do well in a home with at least one other active dog and a large yard with a tall fence.  He'd love to live with lots of older kids to wear him out (impossible!).  Jake has stolen the heart of his foster mom and would love to steal yours too.   ";

Jezebel is a firm believer that she should be the only child in a home, and would prefer not to share your love with human children or other pets.  Jezebel's prior adult companions lived with her for seven years.  Unfortunately circumstances required them to move into a home with their parents. Kadira found herself as a stray four years ago and was taken in by a lady who had done the same with many other cats. The woman is now too ill to care for her and the others so she is in need a new home, again. She greeted us immediately and purred at the first head scratch when we came to meet her. Her foster mom says she loves being brushed and scratched and purrs willingly. The transition doesn't seem to bother her. Even when the other cats in her foster home hissed, Kadira was non-pulsed. Kazi is outgoing and fun, always willing to meet new people that come to his home and entertaining the children too. For that reason he hopes people will meet him in his foster home where they can see the real Kazi.  Kazi loves tomato soup & sauce!  He waits to help you clean up from cooking by licking the can clean and smacking his chops with approval at your choice of ingredients.  When he is done eating, he will sit in your lap and purr and purr while you unwind from a long day watching TV or reading a book.  If your lap is not available, he and his gorgeous sister, Yuki, will sit in the windowsill and watch the birds fly through the yard.  If a fly manages to get into the house, they will chase it all around, anxiously trying to capture it (though they don't always have much luck!) She is a darling, mysterious girl who found herself alone after having been adopted four years ago from CAWS. A kind woman had been feeding her but then turned her in to the shelter and she found her way back to us. After being outside for at least six months she showed no fear of people. Almost the moment we got her home she was out saying hi to us and purring. She is not a big fan of the dogs but if they leave her alone she is fine. The other cats in her current foster home are not fond of her but she did well with other cats before and we think she would do well with cat-friendly cats again. While she doesn't like to be held much (at least in our house with all the dogs) she loves to snuggle and will sleep with you. Rarely does she stop purring. Uinta is young still and would do well with some obedience training to mold him into the perfect dog for your family/household.  Uinta is curious about cats and is great with older children.  When he gets excited he jumps and loses focus therefore he would not do well in a home with young children.  He would need plenty of doggy and chew toys to keep him busy as he likes to play and chew while still in his puppy stage.  Uinta has a non-stop wagging tail and is a happy playful and curious guy who is eager to learn and please.  Uinta would make a great addition to an active household with dogs, cats and older kids. Woody is 6 years old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccinations.<br>Woody was found in a feral colony of cats when he was about 10 weeks old.  Because of his sweet and loving nature, he was rescued and is now ready to find a permanent home.  Woody is a shy guy and will take some time to warm up and feel comfortable in his new home, but once he decides you're ok and not so scary, he's a real charmer.<br>Woody would be great as an only cat or with another buddy who is also kind of shy and quiet.  He loves canned cat food and can be coaxed out of his cat bed at the sound of a can being opened.
