Other Stuff
Here on our Other Stuff page, you'll find information that doesn't quite
fit into our other categories. Be sure to visit often to see the new stuff!
Our webmaster, Bob DeLong, wrote a poem that talks about how we as humans deal with animals. His poem can be found here. We had volunteers visit from Girl Scout Troop NorthWest 575 at a recent Adoption Days at the Redwood Road PETsMART. Read all about their visit! |
From time to time we hear someone ask in passing, "Will those cats and dogs be put to sleep if they can't find them a home?" Our answer is that, unless the animal is severely ill or injured, any animal we assume responsibility for fostering and placing will stay in the CAWS program until a home is found. No matter how long. Please read our No-Kill Society article on this subject. Contrary to Eastertime hype, rabbits and small children aren't a good match. The exuberance of even the gentlest toddler is stressful for the sensitive rabbit. Read the article from the House Rabbit Society's web site. |
